Coaching is a process of skilled facilitation.

As a certified life coach, I offer:

  • active listening
  • curious inquiry
  • honest reflection
  • loving accountability

My coaching sessions are most often facilitated through discussion, and may also include:

  • meditation
  • breathwork
  • movement
  • journaling
  • art process
  • guided imagery

About my process:

I use a holistic, co-active coaching model.

Holistic means to consider the whole.

My coaching process explores body, mind, and spirit, as well as past, present, and future to learn how they connect, what they can teach us, and how we can nurture and integrate them into your current experience.

Co-active means to co-create, or to create together.

This model of coaching is responsive to the unique needs of every individual. It is a process of facilitation that supports clients in discovering their own insights, solutions, and resilience.

Resilience is the ability to recover from or adapt easily to change.

The co-active coaching model is based on the principle that “People are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.” (Co-Active Coaching, 2018, p.4, Kimsey-House, Kimsey House, Sandahl, Whitworth)

“People are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.”

(Co-Active Coaching, 2018)

Psychosynthesis coaching:

My coaching practice is primarily based in psychosynthesis, a transpersonal psychology developed in the early 20th century by Italian physician Dr. Roberto Assagioli.

Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal psychology. It is a specific, scientific framework for understanding human development.

Within the foundation of psychosynthesis theory is the concept of the Collective Unconscious. This concept, that we are all connected, is a spiritual one.

The body is also an essential aspect of psychosynthesis, making it a bio-psycho-spiritual approach to personal development.

Learn more about psychosynthesis here.

“The mind is brought into harmony with the spirit and includes the body, achieving organic, harmonious unity of all aspects of the person’s being, what we might call ‘bio-psychosynthesis’. This is true spiritual alchemy.

DR. ROBERTO ASSAGIOLI

My practice is also informed by my education and work as a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).

It is further informed by my love of art, music, and nature, and my experiences with ADHD, motherhood, grief, and personal transformation. Learn more about me here.

Why online coaching?

I host sessions online for a number of reasons:

  • enhanced access for those without transportation, child care, etc.
  • lower rates. Without a physical space, I am able to offer lower session rates
  • flexibility. Both coach and client can meet from anywhere, and can avoid travel time
  • continuity. All of the above reasons can lead to greater continuity, making the coaching process more effective

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities.

As a coach, I cannot diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

Any mental health conditions should be diagnosed, treated, and managed by a licensed clinical professional.

Coaching is a wonderful complement to, but not a replacement for, mental health treatment.

As I am not a licensed clinical professional, I cannot bill for coaching services through your insurance, though your HSA funds may be applicable.

What clients are saying:

“Working with Zoe has been an incredible experience to say the least. She was able to help guide me to understand myself in a short period of time.

She has helped me excel and move forward in my life in ways therapists (some who I’ve seen for months, years) have not been able to do. She helps you connect the dots and truly listens to you. I’m sure I will be back for more sessions with her.

If you’re looking for understandings of your own behavior and thought patterns and for someone to shine light on your life, then I am certain Zoë can help.”
